Litter is something we take seriously — it pops up often in the busy areas around our venues, and it’s definitely not very chi-full. So in 2024, we launched our Litter Pick-Up-er-er initiative: a bright, joyful way to Share the Chi and give back to the communities we’re part of.
Each applicable Yo-Chi venue now has a dedicated clean-up route that targets local litter hot spots. Our teams are fully equipped with a Litter Pick-Up-er-er kit — tongs, gloves, bin liners, and their iconic neon pink and yellow high-vis vests, so they can safely collect litter during scheduled sessions.
To make sure our efforts create real impact, we’re tracking how much litter we collect across venues. Since August 2025, our team has picked up over 60kg* of litter! That’s roughly 20kg* per month — and we’re committed to growing that number as the initiative continues.
And you can help too! If you spot litter on your way to or from Yo-Chi, pop it into our bins. Or if you see our colourful crew out and about, don’t be shy — say hi to our Litter Pick-Up-er-ers!
